TENNIS CLASSES FOR JUNIORS
AGED 4-16 YEARS OLD.
Tennis coaching and tennis courses for juniors in London, UK
Tennis4juniors caters for children 4-16 years with all the stages of Mini Tennis up to full tennis available. There are sessions on Saturday mornings, after school and in the school holidays all year round on the all weather and floodlit courts at Wimbledon Park.
Tennis4juniors always maintains the emphasis on fun so that the children learn at their best, what ever their age or ability.
Mini Tennis Red
For children 5-7 we offer Mini Tennis Red. The children do a lot of fun games and drills to keep their interest. They learn to develop racket skills and ball sense through specific training. All strokes are also taught and the goal is to achieve rallying using both forehands and backhands. The children will rally in a very small court, but will develop skills that can easily be moved to eventually the full court. The more able children will start to play competitive points. Competition is however introduced within games that do not involve playing actual points.
Mini Tennis Orange
We start by getting the children able to rally just in the service boxes before moving them slightly further back to play in the full Orange court(3/4 court size). Children will at this stage will be introduced to spins and start to play more competitive points. Tactics and mental approach to competing will also be learnt.
Mini Tennis Green
This is played in the full court, with the green balls slightly slower and lower bouncing than proper balls. Children can reach Green at 11 years, although some may stay on Orange if we see the need. This is the last stage before full tennis where the children will really start to play more points and competitions.
